Requirements and Set Up
Current Mac and PC builds of (a game for) Two.
Spatial Set Up
Two computers connected over LAN (internet connection not required but makes it a hell of a lot easier).
These computers should be arranged such that the players can talk to each other but not see each others' screens. Screens back-to-back is usually best.
Getting in and started...
Launch game. One of the two computers will be the server. Decide which.
Both players should click "play", choose a color, and continue. The server should then click "Start hosting a server" to the right.
Once the server is up, have the client (the other computer) and refresh the server list until it shows up or connect directly via IP.
Note that if there are problems seeing the server, you'll have to connect directly via IP to the other computer.
Major Known Issues
If you encounter any of these issues, have the server press "P" to restart back to menu and reconnect.
- Very slow computers and high lag time can cause physics issues.
- The arms can sometimes get stuck pointing over and over again if using a controller. Just hit the triggers to fix.
- Fog will occasionally misbehave. Same goes with the Crossing the Cliff trials' squares (all white squares = bad). This is a sync issue.
Updates coming soon for...
- Menu redesign.
- A handful of temporary art assets still exist in the world.
